Why your team needs to be at RAISE Live

RAISE Live

We’re one month away from RAISE Live!

For the sixth annual RAISE conference, we’ll be holding a free and completely virtual learning opportunity for your entire team. We’ll kick off with a live launch party at 2 PM Eastern on July 22

This year’s launch party will begin with an exclusive pre-screening of RAISE: The Donor Experience Documentary, followed by a Q&A with the stars. We’ll revisit the last 16 months of fundraising and share insights about how our industry has changed and what we can learn from the COVID pandemic.

We’re featuring speakers with unique perspectives, industry-leading ideas, and unmatched expertise.

Read on to see the top reasons why your team needs to be at RAISE Live:

Reason #1 – RAISE: The Donor Experience Documentary

At the average university, only 2.8% of constituents are assigned to a major gift officer. And only 46% of these prospects had one-on-one conversations with the institution in the last year. We believe that reaching more high-net-worth donors in the giving pyramid is critical to the sustainability and success of our industry.

Donor Experience Officers at institutions across the country have been building relationships with this “missing middle” by combining a “donor first” approach with the right data and technology. The Donor Experience Documentary is the first of its kind, featuring the team at WKU on their journey creating a Donor Experience Program with EverTrue.

You’ll meet the key players, from institutional leadership to Student Donor Experience Officers to donors, and get a firsthand look at why WKU chose to pursue a DX program and their results thus far. It’s a must-see.

Reason #2 – John Morris

If you attended RAISE 2019 in-person, you’ll remember John Morris. His session was a fan-favorite and if we’re being honest, we still re-watch it occasionally.

Now SVP at Auburn University, John is joining RAISE for a session entitled, “Let’s Corner the Market on Purpose: Creating solution-driven advancement teams.” He’ll highlight the chances advancement must make to build critical talent pipeline and create (and retain!) high-performing, high-impact teams.

John’s session will remind us why we’re all here and how to be the difference-maker, whether you are in a leadership role or not.

Reason #3 Melissa Korn

Special guest Melissa Korn, Wall Street Journal Reporter and co-author of “UNACCEPTABLE: Privilege, Deceit & the Making of the College Admissions Scandal” will join to discuss the effects of the Varsity Blues scandal and how we can help rebuild trust in our institutions in its wake.

Melissa reports on business education, workplace issues and the college-to-career pathway for the Wall Street Journal and through her unique perspective and in-depth research, she provides an insightful commentary on what we’re doing well and what we can do better.

If you’re lucky, you might even score a copy of her book during the broadcast!

Reason #4 – Professional Development

Raise your hand if your professional development budget has been slashed in the last year and a half.

We get it. But that doesn’t make continued learning and collaboration any less important. Which is why we decided to make RAISE 2021 free for your whole team.

Every member of your advancement team will leave RAISE Live with ideas and insights to apply in their job, without having to spend a dollar of precious professional development budget. We want to empower your team to raise more money, build authentic relationships with more donors, and curate world-class experiences for donors at every level.

Plus, with full participation in RAISE Live resulting in 2 CFRE credits, it’s a win-win.

Reason #5 – Giveaways

Lastly (and secondly to all our amazing speakers!), join RAISE for fun giveaways! Last year, we sent Jeni’s ice cream, Starbucks gift cards, and more. You’ll have to tune in to see what this year’s giveaways will be.
