The Nielsen Company just released an updated analysis of the mobile market share in the U.S. Google’s Android continues to gain traction at a very rapid pace as it is deployed across a wide range of mobile devices.
BlackBerry is still the leading OS at with 31 percent of the market. Apple follows with 28 percent and the Android OS maintains a 19 percent share.
But don’t forget: As we described in this post, OS market share is not equal to OS web consumption. In that category, Android is gaining traction even more quickly.
