We sat down with Nick Fulton, director of the annual fund, and Jordan Buck, campaign coordinator, from The Rams Club. Using EverTrue has helped these two officers at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s athletics foundation rethink their day-to-day approach to engagement and fundraising.
In the webinar, which you can watch in its entirety or view in the slides below, Nick and Jordan talk about how they’re engaging with more donors, managing gift officer portfolios, recruiting new Rams Club members, and laying the groundwork for an upcoming capital campaign.
In the past eight months, The Rams Club has put mobile friendly fundraising tools in the hands of its road warriors, enabling the team to carry detailed information on every prospect, research new potential donors, log contact reports, and communicate with each other while on-the-go.
Championship Results
While the UNC men’s basketball team was at the Final Four, Rams Club officers used EverTrue to locate and meet with dozens of Phoenix-area donors along with members who had made the trip to cheer on the Tar Heels.
After UNC won the championship, The Rams Club hosted an 11-city Tar Heel Tour and recruited new members on the spot via EverTrue’s mobile-friendly giving pages, getting rid of the old fill-in-the-blank registration cards they used to carry around the country.
Back in Chapel Hill, gift officers keep track of ticket holders in EverTrue. While at the stadium, they map out meetings at pre-game tailgates or the members’ seats and record contact reports—all via their phones.
In July as The Rams Club launches the public phase of a capital campaign, it will be tracking gift proposals by stage and officer outreach to new and prospective members, giving administrators full visibility into efficacy of each touchpoint and propelling UNC to new heights.
