Episode 19:
On this special episode of the RAISE podcast, Brent sits down with Peggy McCorkle and Megan Tiede of Boston College to discuss their ‘day of caring’. Many advancement teams are debating whether to proceed with days of giving or postpone them in light of the turbulence regarding the coronavirus. Boston College was scheduled to have their day of giving on March 18th, but the Boston College team decided to neither proceed nor postpone, but rather to adjust to the new format.
Keeping in mind the university’s Jesuit community values, BC used this opportunity to honor students affected by the COVID-19 crisis, and highlight the care and concern of alumni, parents, and friends in this time of need. We hope you enjoy this real time window into the decision making that resulted in a very positive moment in the midst of so much uncertainty.
Peggy McCorkle
Associate Vice President for Annual and Leadership Giving at Boston College
Megan Tiede
Executive Director, Advancement Engagement & Communications at Boston College
